Visiting & Mail Procedures
No inmate can receive phone calls or have messages given to them. To write a letter to an inmate in the Muscatine County Jail please send to:

Please make sure that the return address includes a full name and address, otherwise the letter may be returned or held in the inmates property until they are released.

Clergy wishing to visit inmates need to contact Jail Administration at 563-262-4190 for information on visitation. If you would like to be a visitor to an inmate in the Muscatine County Jail include the following information in a letter addressed to the inmate:
  • Your full legal name
  • Your social security number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your address and phone number
Note: No persons under the age of 18 are allowed to visit inmates. No convicted felons are allowed to visit without the administrations approval.

Posting Money to Accounts
Post Money to a Phone Account
The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office contracts with Inmate Calling Solutions (ICS) to provide inmate phone services. The number for ICS Solutions is 888-506-8407 to allow inmate family and friends to post money to their phone accounts in a couple of ways. Inmates are allowed outgoing calls only.

Post Money to a Commissary Account
To add money to their commissary accounts call 866-345-1884. This is our commissary provider and will allow family and friends to post money to the inmates commissary account. Visitors to the Jail may also post money to inmate commissary accounts through the lobby Kiosk in cash increments.
